My name is Laura and I am so excited to offer you in-home and virtual lactation consults and education. As a mother of three, I know how challenging breastfeeding can be. My breastfeeding experiences were different each time and it was the education and expert lactation support that I received through each one, that helped give me the confidence I needed to be successful. I hope to be that support to you and your family as you welcome your new baby.
I provide in-person lactation consultations in Bishop, CA, serving families throughout Inyo County and Mono County, and offer virtual lactation support worldwide.

If we are not contracted with your insurance provider, you may still be eligible for reimbursement.
After your visit, you’ll receive a detailed superbill (itemized receipt) that you can submit directly

What Happens during a Lactation Consult?
A lactation consult is a visit with an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant that can assist you with problems or concerns related to all things breastfeeding. If your insurance is listed above, you can receive FREE lactation consultations.
During the visit I assess the following:
-Maternal and baby health history
Breast assessment
-I observe a breastfeeding session including a bottle feeding if this applies
-Complete functional oral assessment is done which includes checking for lip or tongue ties
-I’ll weigh baby before and after each breast to determine how much milk baby transferred
-I assess the quality and pattern of baby’s suckling and swallow
-I will measure your pump flange size and assist you with a pumping session
-We will talk about all your questions and concerns regarding feeding and caring for your baby
